You Are Invited To Edo Heritage Foundation Fundraising Event – Saturday, Aug. 6th, 2011

Edo Heritage Community

On Saturday, August 06, 2011, Edo Heritage Foundation of Michigan is hosting a Fundraising event gearing towards Raising Funds To Purchase Edo Heritage Community Center. This event will be held at Mother of God Church, 25585 Berg Road, Southfield,  Michigan, starting at 4:00 pm.

Why Community Center?
The proposed Community Center will enrich the lives of our residents and visitors by offering educational, recreational, social and cultural activities. This center will be a learning place for cultural arts, academics, dance. We will also accommodate seminars, banquets, and gatherings. Free social and emotional development activities, lessons, and plans to help model, shape and reinforce social skills. We envision a new standard in Global Education – a standard that ensures children are educated and informed about the diverse people, places and cultures on our planet – at an early age. We envision a world where children grow up understanding the differences and similarities they have with others in the world, as this will make all children better rounded, educated and compassionate adults.

Our Goal
We want all people, regardless of race, creed or circumstance to achieve their full potential. Our task is to make it possible. Our goal is to provide practical, step-by-step assistance.
Our goal is to establish a framework through which Edo citizens in America would be mainstreamed in Edo State’s economic development. The objective is to empower the Edo citizens in America to become more associated with Edo State growth and development so that they can contribute effectively to the realization of its goals.
Edo Heritage Foundation of Michigan will continue to lead the charge in highlighting business opportunities and creating a platform to showcase the positively thriving economic side of the Edo story to the Michigan business community.
Now, with an opportunity to create a visionary integration of community, it’s time for all of us to step up and provide the physical space required to meet this exciting challenge. Our community shares the need for civic opportunities that would improve our circumstances and quality of life. The ever-increasing demand for our services exceeded our capacity to meet all the needs of individuals in our community.

Why Attend?
Edo community in Michigan is in need of a bona-fide Community Center so that we may continue to fulfill our mission in our community. It is through your humble support, and supports from others that we will be able to continue to strengthen the Edo Diaspora community, develop new and innovative projects and inform Michigan business community on how to do business in Edo State and Nigeria in general.

This event will be attended by high-level dignitaries and businesses from Edo State of Nigeria, Edo citizens in the Diaspora, African organizations in Michigan, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), local business owners, institutions and more.
